Self-Assessment Since 10 years I have been working in countless organizations as an assessor in self-assessments, normally in the role of a lead-assessor. Participating in self-assessments again and again is a key success factor for every assessor to develop (or keep) his skills to apply the model. Only if an assessor is able to judge or know “best practice”, he can give the most benefits to his company during a self-assessment. This is the reason why I’m still working as an assessor for the European Quality Award, regardless the immense resources needed for this job. Upon request customers are trained in the different methods of self-assessments.
